Probably one of the neatest Mii integrations in a Wii game so far.

Update:
More info has come in, thanks to GoNintendo.
As you can see, despite Nintendo's prior dismissal of the reports that stated Baby Peach was in the game... there she is. That's Nintendo for you... nothing said about them is true until they say it is.
Other new additions include up/downloadable Ghost racers, online league and global world rankings, local rankings, "channel for online aspect," and online ranking for time attacks, which can also be sent and received online.
One image is theorized to possibly indicate the ability to use the GameCube controller, as the A and B buttons are colored green and red, respectively, as they were on that device.
And last but not least is a look at some of the courses, both new and old, which will be available:
New:
"Mushroom Cup"
"Flower Cup"
Old:
"Shell Cup"
"Banana Cup"

Original Story:
Yes, that grainy image does show a Mii racing in Mario Kart Wii. It might be a bit tough to make out, but he's there.
Japan's Weekly Famitsu magazine has the scoop on the latest Mario Kart Wii info. To start, the game's scheduled for an April 10th release in the region at roughly 5800 yen ($54) for the bundle (includes the Wii steering wheel). Some other interesting details have surfaced, though, like the ability to race as any of your Miis. It's not confirmed if you can take your Mii online to pit against others, unfortunately.
Of course, some older information was re-confirmed. Motorcycles will now be selectable to ride on, and there will be an emphasis on tricks. Some actions you can perform while on a motorcycle is, of course, the signature wheelie, and dangling your legs into the air while gripping onto the steering bar. Up to 12 players can also race online, plus online battle mode will also be present, though the number of characters able to participate is unconfirmed. The total number of tracks will be 32; which will comprise of 16 remakes of tracks from the older Mario Karts and 16 new courses.
Now, all that's left is for Nintendo to announce release dates for the rest of the world.
