Via The Mushroom Kingdom, a NeoGAF forum user has claimed that in Germany, retailers have already begun selling copies of Mario Kart Wii, citing the picture above as proof of the preemptive purchase.
One item of particular note is the inclusion of an actual game case for the disc, rather than a sleeve. However, before anyone gets their hopes up too much, it should be noted that if we remember correctly, the European versions of Wii Sports and maybe Link's Crossbow Training also came with their own cases, rather than sleeves, meaning that this could likely have no bearing on the type of storage solution that the US release will see.
Another poster has added that additional Wii Wheels will run about €10 each.
Yet another poster says Play-Asia has issued the following statement:
We received the first small delivery today for testing and unfortunatelywe have to inform you, that the game is not compatible with the Datel Freeloader (US and PAL Version).
In case that this affects your preorder, please contact our customer service as soon as possible to amend/cancel your order, as otherwise we will ship your order within the next 48 hours.
If you own a Japanese Wii and you do not want to change your orders, you do not have to reply to this email.
Once again thanks for shopping with us and sorry for the inconvenience caused.
In addition, there are images that seem to reveal new racers as well:
- "Bowser Bones" (from New Super Mario Bros.)
- Rosalina (Super Mario Galaxy; so much for "every 100 years," huh?)
- King Boo (Luigi's Mansion)
- Funky Kong (Donkey Kong Country)
- Princess Daisy
- Baby Daisy
- Diddy Kong
- Bowser Jr.
- Dry Bones
- Toadette
And of course, there's the already-seen roster of:
- Baby Mario
- Baby Peach
- Mario (of course)
- Princess Peach
- Wario
- Waluigi
- Toad
- Koopa Troopa
- Luigi
- Yoshi
- Donkey Kong
- King Bowser

Editor's Take: I really do wish that Nintendo would release their pack-in games in cases over here... why is it the rest of the world is good for it, but not North America?
Also, pulling for another R.O.B. appearance as a driver here, hopefully not as ball-bustingly hard to unlock as in DS. Screw stats, just let me play as him!
