Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii are chock full of Nintendo characters -- but are they too full? What other explanation could there be for the disc loading issues that both allegedly plague both games? Could it be the dual layered disc on which Smash Bros. so proudly flaunts its individuality? Nope. Mario Kart's flying single...layered, that is. So what's going on?
If Nintendo's to be believed, nothing. When Eurogamer queried the house that Mario built, Nintendo claimed to be unaware of any issues. It would appear, then, that Japanese gamers' cries of crashing and content loading problems are falling on deaf ears.
With any luck, these issues won't cross the pond when Mario Kart Wii hits American shelves in a couple weeks -- if the issues even exist.
