Play Magazine (the guys who gave Sonic the Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 an 8.5 out of 10, so take it as you will) have announced that their May issue will feature Sonic "as you've never seen him before" (no doubt before everything got leaked), along with what could be an interesting interview with the new Producer for Sonic Team, Yoshihisa Hashimoto.

Of particular note is this line: "The whole development team is aiming to make Sonic Unleashed the best Sonic game ever, and that includes the Genesis-era titles!"

Definitely high aspirations, lofty even, but at this point a worthwhile goal to aim for. But after hearing so many promises in the past that the next Sonic game will bring the Blue Blur "back to form," will this finally be the one?
