You'll hear the whistle, and ask "what's that sound?" And next thing you know, Proto Man's badass self is comin' on down.
That's the latest word (in what seems to be a series) on Mega Man 9, as Games Radar has revealed that Mega Man 9 will feature DLC after all-- and the first will feature none other than the Blue Bomber's older prototype brother, Proto Man!
The materials we received say it'll arrive the week of October 6 for 200 Wii Points, 160 Microsoft Funnybucks and plain ol' $1.99 on PSN.No screens yet, however, though the above link does show some tiny diagrams of the red one. I'm curious as to how the Rush item variants will work. They say more DLC info is to come, and you can bet we'll bring it to you when it does. Here's hoping they don't nickel and dime us to death for cool stuff like this, though.
For the most part he plays the same as Megs, though he's able to slide and charge his blasts. Mega Man could perform those attacks in every game after Mega Man 2, but doesn't in Mega Man 9. Make sense?
Proto Man can deflect most bullets with this shield, but larger blasts will still cause damage and push him back twice as far as Mega Man. Being struck also interrupts his charge shot. All the Rush adaptors change to Proto adaptors as well – Proto Sled, Proto Coil etc. -- Games Radar
