"Street date broken" is a common set of words to find in a headline lately, and it seems that even Animal Crossing: City Folk is not immune to the phenomenon. As one user of the Animal Crossing Community reports:

I just got AC:CF today from my local walmart. Apparently they didn't know that it is street dated for Sunday, and they went ahead and sold it. If you have a walmart nearby, you might try to see if they have it out already!
