There is a reason I don't tend to get excited, or announce with all the zeal of a press release, when a game goes gold. Because these days, it seems more and more games go out the door with problems, often with the idea that "if anything is wrong, we can fix it later with a patch."
Well, here's one for you: In Tomb Raider Underworld for the Wii, there's a game-killing glitch near the end:
Unfortunately, this seems to be the case for some players who are going through Tomb Raider: Underworld for Wii. The glitch apparently appears in the Coastal Thailand area, depending on how you attack that area. One member of the Eidos forums claims to have found a solution to the problem and provides a way to proceed through the level, but one must wonder why this issue was never discovered before the game released. -- Nintendo EverythingSo, does anyone find this solution acceptable for a problem like this? And on top of that, let's face it, the Wii is probably one of the last platforms you want to have to patch, given the already precious limited space that exists... and that's assuming it's even possible to patch a Wii game.
