Happy Birthday, Blue Bomber! Mega Man Turns 21
December 17, 2008 | 8:38 PM PST
Whew, almost missed getting this posted. Luckily, by my clock, there's still 27 minutes left of December 17th for me to say "Happy Birthday" to Mega Man in a time-fitting fashion.
I could go on and on about Mega Man's 21 years (that's right, as of today, he is legally able to drink E-tanks with alcohol in them), but perhaps another time.
For now, here's a video that seems fitting, as the original Blue Bomber takes on one of the series' most iconic enemies...
...with every weapon in the series (almost).
And, as my compatriot Heatman noted over on The Mega Man Network, this day also marks the 15th anniversary of Mega Man's successor, Mega Man X, while tomorrow will be the 11th anniversary of the long-missed 3D adventure, MegaMan Legends.
In all, congratulations to Capcom, Producer Keiji Inafune, and all the different forms of Mega Man and the staff which created them. Here's to many more years!
