Media: Winter - An Amazing Wii Game that Won't Come Out
January 21, 2009 | 7:41 AM PST
Forums user, Darq Requiem, just posted a thread to vent some frustration over the loss of a potentially amazing game for the Wii. Yesterday, IGN ran a feature about n-Space's now canceled survival horror game, Winter. The game looks damn incredible.
The use of the Lord of the Rings music is clutch. Although certainly something that would have been dropped in the final version.
The monster at the end has got to be one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen. Good gravy, I don't think I'd be able to stomach that game. I'm weak when it comes to horror, that's something that gets me made fun of weekly on our podcast, Kombo Breaker.
Enough about me.
See, according to IGN, this game has been dropped by the devs. The whole thing is explained in the source link below, so hit that to read up.
Essentially, the devs need a publisher. n-Space says that they would welcome anyone that comes along willing to help them get the title on shelves. I would welcome it too, as I think the Wii could stand to have as much good third party support as possible.
What say you? Speak up in the comments below or head to the thread in our forums to discuss.
Edit: Just thought I'd add to this, as I just finished reading the interview. This is something that a small team of like a dozen developers put together in just over a month. In that much time they created such a great looking game.
Edit 2: The internet is a big place full of false hopes and dreams. Sign a growing petition to let some people know you're interested. Be heard! Sort of...
