Rumor: Nintendo Storage Solution to Come in March?
February 3, 2009 | 10:27 AM PST
On the latest edition of the IGN Nintendo Voice Chat podcast, Matt Casamassina says that the update promised months ago by Nintendo, which will allow gamers to save games to their SD cards, will go live "towards the end of March."
I don't really know Casamassina's track record with stuff like this, though it seems the items he's noted before haven't always panned out so well. Anyone care to comment on his track record? I'm genuinely curious.
Some other stuff mentioned on the podcast:
- Retro Studios' next game will be "epic" and "cool"
- Crystal Defenders will release in the US
- Confirmed that Retro Studios is involved with Wiimakes of Metroid Prime 1 and 2
- More dark games will be announced in the near future
- Look out for major IPs from some publishers
- Have not heard back from Factor 5
- Confirmed that the devs from Excite Truck are working on another game -- via Nintendo Everything
"Dark" games?
The Factor 5 news doesn't bode well; in the meantime, I'm kind of hoping that we might see Excite Truck 2. Preferably with some more durable trucks. Sort of a cross between Excite Truck and Burnout. The first came close, except if you touched another truck, you were just as likely to get trashed.
