Nintendo of Australia Sends Pikmin DLC to Animal Crossing: City Folk Players

"DLC" and "Nintendo" aren't often heard in the same sentence together, at least not without the words "why isn't there more" involved. Of course, space is the obvious reason, but I digress: Downloadable content for Nintendo games is a fairly rare thing.
However, Animal Crossing: City Folk, much like Wild World before it, is going to prove itself to be an exception to the unofficial rule, as Nintendo prepares to unleash Pikmin upon the masses once again.
Provided your Wii is connected to the internet, and provided you've enabled outside communication from within the game, from now until February 12 you'd best keep an eye on your mailbox, because until that date the Postman will be delivering little Pikmin hats to all and sundry.
Oh, and no, you won't have to pay for it. This one's on the house. Nintendo's house. -- Kotaku
One thing to bear in mind, however, is that the news was released by Nintendo of Australia, where they're getting the game on February 26th. No mention has been made yet of such a promotion for the American release, which remains undated and will likely not correspond to the date above. Nor have I heard anything about this for the European release, which actually came a few days ago.
Nonetheless, this presents an interesting prospect: What if Nintendo does this sort of thing for other "New Play Control" titles? I'm not sure what could be done for Mario Power Tennis (a tennis racket?), but a Samus-styled outfit, complete with helmet, would be pretty cool. At least, until you realize you're effectively dressing like a girl.
That is, unless you are a girl, of course. In which case, more Power Suit to you.
Edit: As Monkeylord notes in the comments below, it turns out this was announced for Europe, and the game already has not only Samus, but Twilight Princess-style Link gear you can get as well. Clearly, I need to play more.
However, that still leaves the question: What else could they give? Any suggestions?
