Media: AAA: El Videojuego Coming to America
June 25, 2009 | 9:56 AM PST

Feeling worn-out by WWE? Tired of TNA? Then maybe what you need is some grade-A quality wrestling entertainment-- AAA, that is:

Up-and-coming publisher Slang has announced that it is bringing AAA: El Videojuego to pretty much every console: Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable. It will mark the Mexican organization AAA's first venture into the virtual ring, according to a report from GameSpot.

AAA: El Videojuego features a six-sided ring, something which has been brought into the more domestic mainstream by the TNA organization. Its stars are a number of legends of Mexican wrestling, a number of which fans of the former World Championship Wrestling may recognize, such as La Parka and Konnan. "Other AAA stars who could be included but are not yet confirmed for the game include Octagon, Abismo Negro, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart, and Silver King," says GameSpot.

They do note, however, that the company has not yet addressed whether or not the "mini" division of AAA will be included. Featuring stars such as El Guapito and Mascarita Sagrada, the "mini" division is, as one might have guessed, mid--er, "little people" wrestling.

It's actually kind of surprising there hasn't yet been a video game based on that premise alone.

Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are being developed by Immersion Software, using the Unreal Engine 3. They expect that they will have the game ready for its Latin America and United States (and one might assume Canada) debut in either late 2009 or early 2010. Meanwhile, the Wii, DS, and PSP versions are expected to come a little later from Argentine developer Sabarasa Studios.
