Good news for fans of the plumba' who live down-unda': Vooks reports that Nintendo of Australia has given New Super Mario Bros. Wii a release date of November 12th. That means, in a twist bizarre enough to make M. Night Shamalamadingdong stare wide-eyed in disbelief, Australia seems to be the first in the world to get to play the latest Mario title.
For some new screens and promo art, check out the link to Vooks above. Nintendo pulled down the assets for some reason, so they only have part of the set. We're waiting for the full-resolution pics before we add them to our archive.
Of course, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then how much is a video worth? Regardless, we've got two new ones for you here, thanks to GoNintendo:
Hmm, I wonder if the Penguin Suit will be "cool" enough to topple the Tanooki Suit as peoples' favorite.
And then one more:
I like the familiar-yet-new elements here, like the Jelectros that illuminate the darkened underwater caverns, or the manta rays which wear goggles like the Dolphins of Super Mario World.
That's it for now, but if the past few days have taught me anything, there will probably be more very, very soon. Stay tuned.
