Playing Mario is fun. But playing Mario with Mario? That has to take it to an entirely new level.
And that's the level which Official Nintendo Magazine experienced when the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, recently visited their offices during his trip to the UK. They took advantage of the unique situation and played a round of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, wherein Martinet donned the red hat. Check it out:
ONM also notes that Martinet has a few more appearances coming up this Friday, November 6th, and invite you to meet him and check out New Super Mario Bros. Wii. You can find the details here.
Next up, Eurogamer (via GoNintendo) has a video interview with Charles Martinet from their self-titled expo, which is sadly not embeddable, but you can check that out here. Below are some highlights.
Ah, it's too bad Wario and Waluigi weren't optional characters for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, isn't it? It sounds like it would be right up their alley.

The great thing about working with Nintendo is I know that they're always making the game, and that's what it's about. It's creating the best possible game, the most fun for their players, and it works.
I can always say there are more great Mario games coming, there are more great games coming from Nintendo. Mr. Miyamoto is such a creative genius, and you know, he's such a great leader, too, because everybody that gets on board is like "let's-a go! Let's create the best games we can." And so I know there's always lots of fun coming around the corner.
Eurogamer: Outside of Mario, what's your favorite Nintendo voice to do?
You know, there's one guy I think should have his own game one day... *Waluigi's voice* Waluigi! And you've got to cheat to win! *Waluigi laughter*
